well as schools ...
Dear Parent.
The Modern Studies Club encourages pupils to take an
interest in important news events. It does so with
weekly quizzes and puzzles which cover current news
stories
and build background knowledge of key
Modern Studies topics.
The club is run by experienced Modern Studies teachers
who design each week's quiz sheet to be 'short, sharp and fun'.
To add interest, the questions often include general
topics such as television, sport and music.
If you wish to receive the quiz sheets for your
youngsters you can join the club by clicking 'Subscribe'
on the above menu. A subscription costs £10 per year.
The exercises cater for youngsters from first year of
secondary school through to those currently sitting
Standard Grade courses. There are also occasional
materials for students of Higher Modern Studies.
