The

Role Model Project

Former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown visited his old school, Kirkcaldy High, to launch its section of the Role Model Project website.

The Role Model Project is part of The Schools Project, a teacher-led partnership set up in 2000 to establish common sense links between schools and other bodies.

We work with government agencies, professional organisations and the private sector to develop low-cost projects that are simple, teacher-friendly and easily managed.

The Schools Project is not government funded.  We operate commercially on a self-sustaining basis while all our projects have an ethical dimension, raise the ambitions, skills or fitness of youngsters, or offer benefit to the wider community.

Patrick Gaffney is the founder and Director of The Schools Project. He runs the partnership but maintains direct links with the classroom by continuing to teach regularly in schools.

Patrick is an experienced teacher and has written extensively for primary and secondary schools. He insists on a common-sense, approach and practical solutions which save teachers time rather than generate extra work.
