Glasgow Achiever donates £20,000
to his former secondary school ...

One of our first visits to a secondary school in Glasgow provided some insight into the potential for the Role Model Project to help state schools.

On that occasion, we surprised  Willie Haughey, one of the UK's most successful businessmen with a special award in recognition of the thousands of jobs his company has created in the local area.  We did so because, as experienced teachers, we fully understand the value such jobs can have in turning around the lives of young people.

Mr Haughey then surprised us in turn by promptly announcing an unscheduled £20,000 donation to the school.  The Head Teacher and his staff were amazed and delighted in equal measure.
