Barry
Fullerton
Dance |
|
Dance
is popular again thanks to TV shows such as
Strictly Come Dancing. However, Barry knew
how much fun dancing can be when he was still in S1
at Holyrood. Along with his partner, he was the
Scottish champion for under-14 and under 16-age
groups ... not bad, given that Barry was only 11 at
the time! |
|

Brian
McGee
Music |
|
Brian,
along with fellow Holyrood pupils Jim Kerr and
Charlie Burchill, was a founder member of Simple
Minds - one of the most successful rock bands in
history. After a few years on the road, Brian found
he did not enjoy touring and left the
group to pursue other music projects.
He stays in contact and recently took part in a
special re-union concert. |

Benny
Lynch
Sport |
|
Benny
grew up in the Gorbals and went to St John's
Primary. He boxed during the 1930s when times were
tough and people were poor. Benny's great
talent in the ring saw him become Scottish, then
British and then World Champion. Hundreds of
thousands of people lined the streets of Glasgow
when he returned with the world title. |
|

Andrew
Campbell
Science |
|
Andrew
was one of only 25 students across Scotland selected
for the Scottish Space School 2004 visit to NASA
headquarters in the USA. During the trip he worked
with NASA astronauts and scientists and visited
laboratories and the space shuttle. The Space School

in science, engineering and technology. |
