Ian then graduated with a Masters degree in Vehicle Design from the Royal College of Art in London.  Thereafter, his career took off and eventually Ian not only got his job at Jaguar but went on to design some of their top models and become their Chief Designer!  (more)

Douglas Chalmers  (Education)

Families who send their children to Morrison's believe learning is important and it is therefore no surprise that many former pupils have achieved a lot in the world of education. Douglas is a good example. After achieving a First Class degree in mathematics at Glasgow University, and then studying to become a teacher, he has enjoyed a long and successful career in the classroom.  Douglas has helped many young people not only pass exams, but also enjoy school!

Linda Dunion  (Health)

Linda is an expert in mental health and has regularly advised the government on the best policies to adopt for individuals suffering from mental illness.  She led the widely admired 'See Me' Anti Stigma Campaign which used television and other methods to challenge the public's view of mental illness. She was also elected as a local councillor in Edinburgh.

Louise Grey  (Health)

The school is proud of many former pupils who work in the health service. Louise studied medicine at university and is now a doctor in a major hospital. This was her childhood dream.  Louise will shortly take up a post as a consultant in the Accident & Emergency (A&E) Dept. where she will discover whether or not TV's Casualty is accurate.  She is now used to working very hard under a lot of pressure and with a great deal of responsibility .. but she has never lost the tremendous satisfaction she receives from making people better.

Denis Lawson  (Actor)

Denis began his acting career with a small part in a West End play in London and has since showed his talent in a very wide range of stage, TV and film roles.  He gained world-wide fame in the 1970s with a part in the first Star Wars film but for many people in the UK, his most appealing role was in the wonderful film, Local Hero set in a small Scottish village.  Denis has also appeared in many TV shows, including a regular part in Holby City.

Susan Marr  (Business)

Susan always wanted to run her own business and has now achieved her aim. As the current owner and manager of a local building firm founded by her father, she tends to be very busy because a lot of people know and trust the firm. Of course, Susan knows she must do a good job or the firm's reputation will quickly begin to suffer.  Susan is very proud of the fact that her company now creates jobs in the community where she grew up.

Ewan McGregor  (Actor)

Ewan is one of the world's most successful film actors. His first taste of fame followed the hard-hitting Scottish film Trainspotting about the terrible problems caused by drug addiction.  Many starring roles followed including a leading part in Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. Despite his success, Ewan has kept his feet on the ground.  He retains his excellent sense of humour and has helped raise millions of pounds for charities such as Comic Relief.

Barbara Rae  (Art)
