BII is the professional body for the licensed retail sector.  It has over 17,500 members and promotes high standards, good employment practice, and social responsibility within the hospitality industry.

BII encourages professionalism by providing its members with the high quality qualifications, up-to-date information and the wide range of skills required to develop their long-term careers.

BII is a registered charity.

BIIAB is the wholly-owned awarding body of BII and the leading awarding body for the licensed retail sector.  It is accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

The Schools Project is a teacher-led partnership which builds bridges between schools and the outside world. Many organisations are keen to help schools but do not have sufficient time for a major commitment, while staff in schools are themselves often stretched to the limit.

The Schools Project aims to tackle these problems. It was set up in 2000 to establish common-sense links between schools and other bodies.

We work with government agencies, professional organisations and the private sector to develop hassle-free, low-cost projects that are teacher-friendly and easily managed.
