Many resources are available to schools to help them teach young people about the legal system and related matters.

Unfortunately, such resources often require an unrealistic amount of staff time and effort.

In this section, we highlight external resources which busy teachers may find helpful and which pupils are likely to find interesting and enjoyable.

All of the resources are free to schools.

A free, interactive resource from the Ministry for Justice in England & Wales.

The activities take place in a fictitious town called Crownford Rise.  The town is populated by a cast of characters who all have dealings with the law as part of their daily lives.

Students interact with their stories and consider the dilemmas, discuss the issues and voice their opinions on a range of situations covering aspects of criminal, civil and family law.
