School Visits
A number of
lawyers have chosen to visit their nominated school for a Q&A session with pupils.
The visits
provide youngsters
with an insight into the legal system and allow them to
ask questions about the type of work lawyers do.
One aim of this is to help youngsters become less inhibited by
lawyers when they are older.
Participating lawyers are not required to prepare a talk
but instead respond to questions which are general
in nature rather than on specific points of law.
Typically, the lawyer meets a class of pupils and
in secondary schools may follow
this with a relaxed chat over coffee with a few senior
students who are considering a law course at university.
